Alpha Research Institute is a medical research clinic located in Houston, Texas. It currently conducts over 13 clinical trials focused on a variety of diseases and medical conditions.
Clinical trials are medical research in which treatments, equipment or medications are tested and sometimes involve the participation of individuals. Clinical trials are conducted under the care of medical personnel and are used to determine whether these treatments, devices or drugs are effective and safe in curing, preventing or controlling certain diseases in current and future patients. Clinical studies are also called clinical trials or clinical investigations.
Each clinical study has a duration, so we are constantly updating and renewing the studies we have available. When we start a study in the clinic, it has a protocol, which establishes the duration time as well as the exclusion and inclusion criteria.
