Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)
Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)
It is a type of liver disease in which fat accumulates in the liver of people who do not drink alcoholic beverages or consume little alcoholic beverages. This leads to liver inflammation and liver cell damage, sometimes resulting in cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) and liver failure. People with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis have an increased risk of developing liver cancer. It is more common in middle-aged adults, especially in people who are overweight, obese, have diabetes or high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides (type of fat) in the blood. It is also called NASH. (Cancer.org)
If you have been diagnosed, you can apply to volunteer for a clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of a drug as a potential treatment for adults with NASH and liver fibrosis, fill out your contact information in the form and we will get in touch for the screening process.
